Why can’t I see the values?

What are the values based on?

For the most part, values are based on sold prices from on-line auction and hobby classified sites. They are also influenced by hobby trends, desirability, and scarcity. The values on the site are for models that are in excellent to mint condition. Quality of the model does affect it’s resale value, and models that are not in excellent condition may not sell for the values listed.

How do I know what Breyer® model I have?

There are many great model identification sites and resources on the internet that you can utilize while we are building our image galleries. We recommend www.identifyyourbreyer.com.

How current are the prices?

The value of each model on the site is reviewed at least once a year and updated accordingly. With some very desirable models, prices can fluctuate greatly over a short amount of time. We take into consideration the highs and the lows, look at what causes the fluctuations, and report a current snapshot with a value range. We do try to be conservative with our valuations, and will notate a source and date on some of the rarest models.

How do I send in pictures?

As you can see, the collecting of pictures is an on-going process. We are trying to build a free resource to be used for identifying Breyer® model horses. Images are curated from different people and sources, and are not property of BreyerValueGuide.com unless specifically stated.
